Fr Robert's Departure
Without repeating what has been said and echoed since the announcement of Fr Robert's departure for Kinsale, i want to wish him the best of luck. He has been very supportive to everyone over his term here and extremely generous with his time and advice. Our loss is Kinsale's gain but apart from the memories that we have of him, we also have an amazing church and community atmosphere which he has been building up. hopefully, he will always remember us in his prayers as we will remember him, best of luck Robert in the 'Gourmet Capital of Cork' On behalf of the assembly of 2001-2008, we thank you, Eleanor

Fr Robert Young
It is with much sadness that i've learned of the departure of Fr Robert for the parish of Kinsale. He was a true sheperd to his flock in Mayfield. An amazing man who worked tirelessly for his parishioners during his eight years there. He leaves behind a magnificent church so tastefully refurbished and maintained. This will be his lasting legacy to the people of Mayfield. Robert may you have many happy days in Kinsale and keep us in mind from time to time. Kevin Mayfield

"the new church"
Moved out of Cork and Mayfield 15 years ago and looked up your web site today and seen "the new church" in all its glory. The church is still a beautiful building and holds many memories, eg the 'Legion of Mary' down in the basement which was a place where we went; originally out of the cold and rain and then stayed for what we got from it. keep up the good work.

Eucharist Celebration 10th May 2008
Attended Mass on Saturday evening last. What a wonderful celebration with the local GAA team in attendance. With the divine support they have to be victorious in Dublin next week-end. By the way the church looked splendid. Fantastic uplifting experience Brian
