Credit to Fr. Pat. For weeks he has prayed at Mass for the  Chilean miners and now they are rescued.Good on him for keeping them in our thoughts and prayers. Now , on to the next ''mission impossible'' !

Old Boys School Mayfield

Just viewed the proposed development for this site. At last this site is to be transformed. This site is an ugly eyesore and a blight on this area and I am delighted we are now to get a new play school, a communal area for the parish and most importantly housing for the active over 55's of Mayfield. Well done to those responsible for promoting this project and for the foresight in inviting Respond to develop and manage it. Hope we can see an early start to work and I am looking forward to it being completed for the benefit of the elderly and the young children of Mayfield

Easter Ceremonies

What an uplifting experience I had in Mayfield over the Easter holidays. I was staying with friends there and was absolutly enthralled by the ceremonies at Our Lady Crowned Church from Holy Thursday to Easter Sunday morning. Absolutly fantastic. If you want to see how a church should be decorated for the joyious season of Easter then a visit to this church is a must. Well done to all involved I'm sure it took a lot of hard work.

Yes we do have a memorial to Fr Con here in the church grounds. He is still remembered here in Mayfield with great affection. Pat O'Leary, Sacristan

I remember going to mass every Sunday. I had my first holy communion at this wonderful church. I remember Father Con  and when he passed. I think about him often. Are there any memorials to him on the church grounds?
